As you probably know, if you get too many points within a certain period of time, your license may be suspended. Twelve
points in twelve months carries a suspension of up to thirty days. Eighteen points in eighteen months carries a suspension of
up to three months. And twenty four points in thirty six months carries a suspension of up to one year.
If you get too many points, that Lake Mary traffic ticket
could lead to a suspension of your driving privileges
Although a few types of traffic tickets carry six points, the most
common traffic citations carry three or four points. So if you
receive a number of traffic tickets as a result of a one stop, or if
you have received a number of traffic tickets as a result of several
stops by law enforcement, the points can add up quickly.
Just paying your Lake Mary traffic ticket would mean that you would have to accept the points on your license that are
applicable as a result of your Lake Mary traffic ticket. And those points could lead to an increase in the insurance rates that
you pay. Therefore, you should try to avoid having any points on your license. Fortunately, under some circumstances, you
may avoid any points by electing the traffic school option. However, before you decide, you should call us.
And even if you are not at risk of having your license suspended,
your insurance rates could go up as a result of any points
Depending on the facts of your case, we may be able to take care
of your Lake Mary traffic ticket or have it dismissed without you
going to Court. We will go for you. Also, we may be able to help
you keep any any points off of your record without you going to
traffic school. And, having attorney Acevedo as your Sanford
traffic ticket lawyer is more affordable than you may think.
Fortunately, you may not have to miss work to go to Court and
we may be able to get your Lake Mary traffic ticket dismissed
Lake Mary was originally known as Bents, a stop on the South Florida Railroad. The area came to be known as
Lake Mary after 1894, when the Rev. J.F. Sundell built a house on the north shore of the lake which he named
"Lake Mary" after his wife, Mary.
Rev. Sundell had considerable influence in the Lake Mary area. A Lake Mary congregation was organized as part
of the Presbytery Church of Lakeland and Rev. Sundell served as the pastor of the Lake Mary congregation for
10 years. Rev. Sundell is buried at the Lake Mary Cemetery.
The first subdivision in Lake Mary, platted in 1916, was called Modern Woodman's Winter Homes. Four years
later this Lake Mary subdivision was replatted as the Crystal Lake Winter Homes. Even back then, many families
were attracted to Lake Mary. This attraction to Lake Mary was due in no small part to the efforts of the Lake
Mary Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Mary Tourist Club.
Lake Mary was incorporated as a city in 1973 and today, Lake Mary has a population of over fifteen thousand.
